Casa Isabella is a pledge,
An enchanted place between nature and history. A small corner of
the world where time seems to have stopped, in which to let go completely,
to experience an unforgettable stay, a gastronomic experience linked to the
Apulian tradition or where you can enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
Located at a strategic crossroads, Casa Isabella envelops guests in the restorative silence of its own garden, but also allows them to explore the surroundings, enjoy relaxing bike rides or to get to the Itria Valley, the sandy Ionian coastline, or reach Matera, European Capital of Culture 2019 within just a few minutes.
Staying at Casa Isabella will prove to be as unique an experience as are the rooms that welcome guests. Each room is a “unique piece”, born from the love for this place, from the respect of its past and by the desire to be able to offer lasting memories for those who stay here.
Casa Isabella is a gift that Duke Nicholas De’ Sangro wanted to give to his wife Isabella de Medici in 1879. Inside the palace it is still possible to admire the marble inscription that the inconsolable Duke had affixed following the premature death of his beloved wife.
The corridors, rooms and gardens of the palace are strewn with details that recall the historical richness of the building. It is the guest’s task to discover these details and they will be sure to be fascinated by the story of this enchanted place.
